El Dorado Casitas Royale – Your Mom is Right

Remember when your mother told you that it’s what’s inside that counts?

Guess where you will find El Dorado Casitas Royale, one of Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Top 100 Hotels in the World and an AAA Four Diamond Resort.

It’s inside the El Dorado Royale!

El Dorado Casitas Royale is nearly blended with the beach in a separate and secluded section of this stunning Mexican Riviera Maya resort.  This adult’s only resort is marinated in romance.  Perfect for weddings, anniversaries, honeymooners, or vow renewals with complete support and service that pays attention to your every unique detail.

It’s easy to be distracted by your private Casita perched on the beach, the interior luxury and in-suite Jacuzzi.   You may detour to any one of the tempting 13 sparkling swimming pools or forget where you are when your stress is melting away in the first class spa while you are anticipating an evening of exciting nightlife.

That’s really no reason to forget this is a coveted Gourmet Inclusive resort with seven restaurants that exceed all your expectations.  My favorite meal at the Cocotal is the a la carte breakfast which comes in continental and international versions.

D’Italia inspires intimacy with the right portions of gourmet contemporary Italian delights along with a romantic soundtrack provided by an inspired string quartet.

Kitchen kings will want to head to Fuentes-Culinary Theatre to satisfy their appetite and curiosity.  All five kitchens are wide open to watch every move the chefs make and flat-screen monitors ensure you don’t miss any detail of their art.

Forget checking the menu ahead of time for JoJo’s Seaside Grill.  The boat lands with fresh fish and the bill of fare is updated on the spot.  Your taste buds will be smiling  with choices from time-honored fish and chips to genuine ceviche.

Experiment with new flavors at Kampai where you will find authentic spring rolls, succulent sushi and plated specialties from India, China, Vietnam and Japan.   Pacific Rim cuisine and a Caribbean sea view is a potent combination.

La Isla is the perfect lunch spot but this open-air palapa also has a Mediterranean Cuisine Gourmet Dinner that makes a wonderful shared meal for two.

A couple things to keep in mind when dining at El Dorado Casitas Royale is the dress code and reservations.    None of the restaurants require reservations but “casual elegance” is the dress code.

It means Capri pants, dresses, skirts, or long pants for the gals. Men need to trade their relaxed fit, stone-washed, jeans for Bermuda shorts, long pants, dress sandals or shoes and wear a collared shirt even if you go with the shorts.

The El Dorado Royale is visually stunning.   The El Dorado Casitas Royale is the beauty inside that will have your Mom nodding her approval.
